Could Be Creepy

Today in Music History:

In 2000, the internet firm DNA Visual Business Solutions filed a lawsuit against Britney Spears and her marketing company for failing to pay for the redesign of her website
There are some songs that sound weird and at first listen might seem creepy, but actually they're not too bad. They're just weird. I got a few of those today and they fit well on a Halloween mix tape. So I'll start off with a couple of odd birds of the female variety. If you've ever listened to Laurie Anderson then you know what I'm talking about when I say some of her stuff can be way out there. The track here is actually radio friendly and is a duet with Peter Gabriel, yet it still retains it's weirdness.

Lene Lovich (pronounced Lay-na Luv-itch) is the proud owner of a high-pitched, shrieky voice, a spooky wide-eyed stare and an overall general oddball appearance. You either dug her banshee-howl-inflected vocals or you hated it. For three year's she was one of Stiff Record's brightest stars but as new wave declined in the mid eighties so did Lene Lovich. A bit of spookines from Lene.

Massive Attack were among the most innovative and influential groups of their generation; a pioneering force behind the rise of trip-hop with their hypnotic sound. A darkly sensual and cinematic fusion of hip-hop rhythms, soulful melodies, dub grooves, and choice samples. This song sounds a bit creepish.

The Residents are just simply weird. Check this out if you don't believe me.
